Commonly found in North African cooking dates are a deliciously sweet and chewy fruit that comes from the date palm. Ideal for use in baking and commonly paired with walnut in cakes the date adds interesting flavour and texture to dishes. The greatest way to cook dates however is in a Moroccan tagine, a dish which becomes a centrepiece to a meal and highlights the dates in a way similar to how they are traditionally served.
